Andreas Aigner credits car and co-driver for latest IRC Production Cup success

A good car and co-driver were the difference as Andreas Aigner made it three wins in the IRC Production Cup category from four starts on Barum Czech Rally Zlín yesterday.

That’s according to the Austrian ace who extended his title advantage with a dominant display on the Tarmac event, which he led from the fifth stage alongside co-driver Ilka Minor.

“Ilka has been making the perfect job, the car is perfect so no problems,” said Aigner, who was at the wheel of a Stohl Racing-run Subaru Impreza R4 STI.

Toshi Arai, in a Tommi Mäkinen Racing Impreza, finished second with Czech Jaroslav Orsák fighting back from a puncture on Saturday afternoon to take third, having won the division in Zlín last season.
