FIA WRC Academy entries open for penultimate events

With the entry closing date for the second asphalt event of the season fast approaching, those wishing to join the FIA WRC Academy ranks for the remaining two rounds are encouraged to register their interest to gain from all that benefits a WRC Academy competitor on event.

Those wishing to gauge their speed against some of the world’s fastest young drivers – in M-Sport’s evenly matched Ford Fiesta R2s – are welcome to register for Rallye de France Alsace as well as the season finale at the RACC Rally de España, the closing dates for which are the 4 September and 8 October respectively.

Despite being unable to score points, those who register for the penultimate rounds of the feeder series – which is supported by Ford Racing in Europe and runs control tyres from Pirelli – will have the opportunity to compare themselves against the series regulars.

In addition, participants will also benefit from a host of WRC Academy training including sponsorship guidance in France and an exclusive exercise in stunt driving from the Top Gear Live stunt driving team in Spain. Not to mention the opportunity to put their questions to two of the FIA World Rally Championship’s biggest names – Volkswagen’s Sebastian Ogier and Ford World Rally Team’s Petter Solberg.

More information on the FIA WRC Academy can be found at www.wrc.com/wrc-academy or www.facebook.com/WRCAcademy and those wishing to register their interest are advised to contact FIA WRC Academy Manager, Kate Rhodes (krhodes@m-sport.co.uk).
