Skoda Motorsport at the 2011 Monte Carlo Rally

Škoda Motorsport (factory team), the new holder of the IRC champion’s crown, is going to appear at the next Monte Carlo Rally in January.

The start of the 100th year of this legendary event is going to see both of Škoda Motorsport’s regular crews – the reigning 2010 IRC champions Juho Hänninen & Mikko Markkula, as well as Jan Kopecký
& Petr Starý, this year’s IRC runners-up.

“The Monte Carlo Rally is very special to us, especially because it is where we made our debut with the Fabia Super 2000 in 2009. This is going to be the 100th year of the event, and Škoda Auto is going
to celebrate 110 years of its motorsport efforts next year, which certainly is an interesting combination. Furthermore, this rally is one of the best races the whole world of motorsport offers, and we are highly motivated to succeed there,” says Head of Škoda Motorsport Michal Hrabánek.
